Love With a Perfect Stranger

Veteran kung-fu star Luk Kim-ming's directing career got off to a flying start with this merry tale of mismatched lovers. It not only won him and his writing partner the Best Screenplay honor at the Hong Kong Film Awards, but the Best Actress Awards for Wang Hsiao-feng as well. She plays a pregnant student who marries a sympathetic, equally heartbroken, passer-by. Then it's one thing after another until an unexpected, but completely satisfying, happy ending.
